Roelofs Remodeling & Renovation, Inc. wins 2008 Fulton BLEND Award!

Sometimes the best way to be “outstanding” is by BLENDing in!

The Fulton Neighborhood Association awarded Roelofs Remodeling & Renovation, the 2008 BLEND Award in the Remodel/Additions category for its project on Upton Avenue South.

The BLEND Award was developed by the association to recognize and encourage remodeling projects that enhance the scale and continuity of the older neighborhoods while improving livability and value.  BLEND stands for Buildings and Landscapes Enhancing the Neighborhood through Design.  The projects are judged by a group of architects for scale, function, consistent use of materials and value.

The Upton Avenue project, completed in 2007, nearly doubles the floor space of the small 1918 four-square home, but carefully combines exterior materials, sizes and shapes of windows and architectural details for an authentic “turn of the century” look.  Interior finishes and craftsmen trim details embrace contemporary features and state-of-the-art kitchen and baths to let this home live large while standing proudly on the corner, a complement to the neighboring residences, ready for the next 100 years of family living.

This project is a testament to the commitment of the owners, the vision of the designer and the talent of a skilled team of craftsmen who brought it to reality.  Some of our very best design/build work!
